OAP trapped under stairlift in Carlisle care home
An elderly woman was cut free by firefighters after her head got trapped under a stair lift in a care home in Carlisle.
Fall: The Laurels Emergency services were called to The Laurels care home on Norfolk Road, Denton Holme, at around 6am today after the woman fell down stairs.
She had become stuck beneath the stair lift and was freed by a fire crew from Carlisle using cutting equipment.
The woman was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary for treatment.
