Beware
of Cheaters & Scammers
Sadly their are a number of scammers who operate outside
and within the UK! They trawl the internet looking for UK
classifieds websites! These low life scum bags target all
online classifieds websites so beware of anyone asking you
to import / export any type of goods
The Scammer will contact you and claim He/She is interested
in buying / purchasing your stairlift / products. They will
claim they want to ship export the items abroad etc.
Over a period of email correspondences they
will ask you to send a cheque for the import/export of the
stairlift / items for sale plus add additional shipping
payments and claim they will reimburse your payment / money
on receipt of the items
They may even send you a cheque or money order
by a third party payment processor such as Western Union
etc. Please be on guard and use a bit of common sense! Follow
the simple rules below
•
Do not give out Bank Details to Anyone
•
Deal with UK Residents Only
• Collection in Person
Only
• Payment Cash or Cheque
with a Bankers Card
Imports / Exports
of stairlifts
This is not viable for anyone! Not even large "Sole
Traders" or "legitimate companies" unless
they are moving large volumes of stock. Stairlift Trader
is not aware of any person or company that would export
used second hand stairlifts to another country. If you receive
such a request please throw the email in the bin
These people are low life scum preying on
people when they are most vulnerable and in many cases still
in bereavement. Though the scam is very crude and badly
implemented. We feel it only right to bring this to your
attention
Please
do not become a victim of fraud! Ignore all such emails
Carry out all transactions in person / collection only
Kind Regards
