Stannah Straight Stairlifts
Stannah 225, 230, 240 are now obsolete
and no longer produced though there are still many units
in service and are widley available via the second hand
market. The 225 & 230 are electric AC models and the
Stannah 240 is battery dc
Stannah 300, 400, 420, are all DC Battery
driven stairlifts. The advantage of battery dc stairlifts
is they will continue to operate even in the event of
a power-cut outage. Average figure would be about 24 full
runs up and down the track allowing ample time for the
supplier to reinstate the power back to your area
Stannah Curved Stairlifts
Stannah 229 curved stairlift is now obsolete,
The stairlift was electrical ac driven. Built like a tank
and could serve the most demanding of use. Not particular
stylish in design it was a work horse with a proven track
record. Still a number of units in service today
Stannah 250, 260, Solus are all Battery
DC driven stairlifts. Very modern slim line design. The
250 & 260 have been superceded by the Solus stairlift
and a number of other models based on the same design
DIY Curved Stairlift Installation
We do not recommend DIY installation of any curved stairlift!
Curved stairlift rails are bespoke design. Manufactured
for each individual staircase. If you want a second hand
curved stairlift then find a company that supplies and
installs refurbished curved stairlifts (See the Stairlift
Trader Suppliers List)
Selling Curved Stairlifts
Selling curved stairlifts can be
problematic due to the above! "Bespoke Design"
though there are a number of UK stairlift companies that
will buy curved stairlifts for refurbishment etc.You would
be looking at Trade prices if offering a curved stairlift
